In honor of National Unicorn Day coming up on April 9th, here’s a unicorn comic! Unicorns are one of my favorite mythical creatures (right up there with pegasus). They truly are a unique creature, a symbol of purity and healing within the majesty of the horse.
Although it makes for a good pun, the unicorn horn isn’t entirely unique. The tusk of the narwhal was at one time believed to be a unicorn horn because of the distinctive spiral pattern. So while this component does show up in nature, much like the horse, the special combination of these elements makes for a special resident of the fantasy realm.
