In honor of Tartan Day, here’s a comic with a Scotsman joke! Tartan Day is celebrated on April 6th. Last year, I looked into it an found an interesting connection with Unicorn Day on April 9th. But this year, here’s a little levity focusing on the Scottish part.
This is my second time celebrating Tartan Day with a historical society dedicated to historic Scottish weaving, blacksmithing, leatherworking, basket-weaving, and martial arts, called the Renaissance Scots. My husband and I don’t have any Scottish heritage, but we love learning about the weaponry used from the medieval era through the 1700’s. Hopefully, should we find ourselves in historic hand-to-hand combat, our skills will help us avoid getting “kilt.”
